I made a brief visit to Collegehill House, formerly Roslin Inn, during one of the Landmark Trust open days.
The property is located adjacent to the Roslin Chapel, made famous by Dan Brown's book.

Because of this be prepared for lots of tourists. They can arrive by the coach load.
There is a small car park but this can fill quickly and cars then park the length of the lane.
It looked as if there was a reserved parking space for the Landmark Trust use.
The chapel itself is walled off and there is an entrance fee payable at the visitors centre to gain admission.
There is a garden at the rear of Collegehill house and this has views of the chapel although a small access gate
appeared to be padlocked and the chapel is shrouded in protective scaffolding.
As you enter through the front door of the house there is a twin bedroom on your right and to the left a small bathroom with toilet and shower and then on to the kitchen. From the hall, stairs lead up to a large sitting room at the rear of the property (and hence reasonably quiet) with further steps up to a twin and double bedrooms and a bathroom. |
Sorry, I have not stayed at Collegehill House yet and do not have any photographs of the outsides.
