Stockwell Farm was first built in the 17th century, altered circa 1700 and again circa 1830.
It is an example of a Welsh long house and more particularly is a house-and-byre homestead.
The property was purchased by the trust in 1972, the architect for the restoration was James D. Reid and
the builders were Ernest Deacon Ltd. The restoration was completed in 1973 and included making a bathroom
from the smallest bedroom and making a kitchen from the larder.
