Kit 03 is the smokebox.

The first step is to attach the chimney base to the smoke box. First clean up the chimney base with a flap disk on the angle grinder. Foliac is applied to the chimney base which acts as a sealer. Once cleaned up the copper rivet bolts are snapped in to be flush with the chimney base..
The perch bracket does not line up with the holes in the bottom of the smokebox.
This is a known problem and the recommended solution is to drill the holes out slightly
to 7mm (using a standard HSS bit). We did this 'free hand' with a conventional drill which was fairly easy although it
needs a steady hand and if progress is too quick it will catch, requiring occaisonal use of reverse to get the
drill bit free again.
Remember not to drill out the two dummy holes.
When attaching the hinge to the smokebox door the bolts stick out and prevent the door from closing. To trim these to length we used a dremmel with a small cutting disc.
